Turn Your Conversations Into Content

The Plano Podcast Room is nestled in the home of a professional photographer and videographer couple. They have transformed a room in their home into a professional podcasting studio. Here, they record their own podcast and also provide services for other podcasters in need of a recording space.

The studio is equipped with a single 4K camera, 2 Rode PodMic microphones, and a Zoom Podtrak P4 audio recorder, ensuring high-quality audio and video. Throughout your session, the homeowners will serve as your personal podcast room engineers, providing assistance with technical aspects. This enables you to simply arrive and concentrate on what's truly important: Having engaging conversations that your listeners will want to binge.

The studio features a 32-inch TV and a modern design with black walls, black curtains, and white acoustic panels to enhance sound quality. Soft globe lamps and chic boucle accent chairs create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

The studio's zip code is 75023. The complete studio address will be included in the confirmation email that is sent immediately after booking.

You’re welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early to get comfortable, and take additional time post-recording to conclude your episode smoothly. (Refer to our FAQs below for more details)
  • On-Site Podcast Engineer: Take advantage of our expert podcast engineer's assistance with equipment and time management, ensuring a streamlined and trouble-free recording.
  • Next-Day Delivery of Raw Files: Obtain all unedited, high-quality audio and video files the following day, perfect for self-editing. Our 4K camera, integrated with our audio recorder, ensures that your video file contains excellent audio quality. This means you can post the video file we deliver if you don’t need to add a intro or b-roll.

Additional 30 Minutes - $50

Looking to record a longer podcast or multiple episodes? Extend your studio time with our convenient 30-minute add-ons. Each additional 30-minute segment is perfect for recording subsequent or longer episodes, taking breaks, or outfit changes. Film as many episodes as you wish within your reserved time, and we will deliver all raw video and audio files to you the next day.

We skillfully create close-up shots of each speaker, seamlessly switching between these focused angles and the original wide view. This approach ensures that when a speaker is talking, the audience's attention is captivated by their close-up, enhancing the connection and engagement. During mutual dialogue or moments of interaction, we cut back to the wide shot, providing a comprehensive view of the conversation. Ideal for creating a more lively and interactive viewing experience, this service makes your podcast video visually appealing and keeps your audience hooked throughout.

Entering the Space

You'll receive a confirmation email after booking with us, which includes a link to comprehensive access instructions, complete with useful visuals to guide you smoothly to our studio.

Are pets allowed in the space?

As much as we love animals, pets are not allowed at any of our studio or event space locations. If we find evidence of a pet being in the space, we will charge a $500 fee.

What is your cancellation / rescheduling policy?

At Photo Loft, we understand that plans can change. Here's what you need to know about our cancellation and rescheduling policy:

  1. No Monetary Refunds: We do not offer monetary refunds for cancellations. Instead, we provide hourly credits.
  2. Hourly Credits for Cancellations: If you cancel your reservation, you can receive hourly credits equal to your booked time. These credits allow you to schedule a new session within 30 days of your original booking date.
  3. Eligibility for Credit Codes: To qualify for credit codes, you must cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the reservation start time.
  4. One-time Free Rescheduling: You can reschedule your booking once without any additional cost.
  5. Subsequent Changes: If you need to cancel or reschedule for a second time, it will require a new booking and payment.

Am I being monitored when I’m in the studio?

Yes, every one of our studios is equipped with cameras that we are constantly monitoring to ensure our rules are being followed. There are no cameras in the restroom.

I've never used podcast equipment before. Can I still book the studio?

Absolutely! Our on site podcast room assistant will take care of everything for you on the day of to ensure a seamless recording session.

What happens if I don't know how to operate the equipment in the podcast studio?

We understand that the equipment might seem overwhelming at first, but rest assured, we're here to help. Most of the gear in our podcast studio can be remotely controlled by our team, if needed. Plus, you can call us anytime during your booking if you need any technical support. Our goal is for our customers to be self-sufficient, but we're always here to assist while you get the hang of all the gear and processes.

Can I see the video feed on the TV while I'm recording my podcast?

Absolutely! Our 75-inch TV is set up specifically to display the feed from all three 4K cameras simultaneously. This way, you can constantly monitor how you and your guests appear on camera, ensuring you're capturing the best angles. It's like having a live preview of your final product, giving you the chance to make adjustments in real-time to get the perfect shot.

Why is there a 30-minute buffer before and after the 30-minute podcast recording session? Can I use the buffer time to film a longer podcast?

Our mandatory 30-minute buffer times before and after each 30-minute podcast recording session are carefully designed to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for all our clients. Here's how they work:

  • Pre-Session Buffer (30 minutes before session): This time is essential for several preparatory activities. Our podcast engineer uses this period to power up and fine-tune all the equipment, ensuring optimal lighting and sound quality. It's also the perfect opportunity for hosts and guests to arrive, get comfortable, and conduct mic checks and audio level adjustments.
  • 30 Minute Session Timeframe + Paid Extensions (time spent between the buffers for filming, changing outfits, taking breaks): After the pre-session buffer, we will be ready to start recording your 30-minute podcast episode. If you want to film a longer episode or multiple episodes, you can add as many 30-minute extensions as needed. This will allow for outfit changes, additional podcast recordings, or breaks between recordings to review notes before the next episode. Please note: If you spend an entire hour taking a break, it will count as your extension time. Please book as many extensions as necessary to accommodate your recording needs, including time needed for outfit changes, breaks, and personal preparation.
  • Post-Session Buffer (30 minutes after session): After the recording, this buffer provides you with the time to wrap up, use the restroom, and gather your belongings without feeling rushed. It's an integral part of the experience, allowing for a smooth transition out of the studio.

These buffers are mandatory and crucial for maintaining the quality and scheduling of our studio sessions. They help prevent overlaps with other bookings and ensure each podcast gets the focused attention it deserves. Please be aware that the recording time is limited to 30 minutes, unless additional time is purchased. This is to ensure that we can accommodate subsequent sessions and maintain our high standards of service for all clients.

If I extend my Base Session with more time, how many additional episode files will I receive, and is there an extra cost for these files?

When you extend your Base Session with additional time, you will receive a separate file for each episode recorded during your entire reservation. This is based on our policy of a 30-minute minimum recording window for each episode. For instance, if you book a Base Session and add an extra hour (two 30-minute extensions), you can record up to three episodes, each with a minimum length of 30 minutes.

Importantly, there is no additional cost for us to send over these additional episode files. Since we are not editing them, we simply upload and deliver the raw files. Our aim is to provide you with high-quality, ready-to-use content without extra charges for file delivery. Whether you record one episode or multiple, the cost remains the same — focused solely on the time you book in our studio.

What does adding a 30-minute extension to my Base Session entail, and does it include additional buffer time?

When you add a 30-minute extension to your Base Session, it's important to understand that this extension only covers additional time spent in the studio and does not include any extra buffer time for preparation or wrap-up. The initial 30-minute buffer before and after the Base Session remains fixed, regardless of the number of extensions added.

This means that any time spent in the studio during these extensions - whether it's recording, taking a break, or changing outfits - counts as part of your paid extension time. Our extension rate is designed to give you more time for recording, taking breaks between multiple episodes, and changing outfits within your booked session, ensuring efficient use of the studio. Therefore, it's crucial to plan your session, including breaks and outfit changes, within the time frame you book in order to make the most of your studio experience.

Can you add intros, music, graphics, titles, and an outro?

Currently, we only offer editing services for our Professional Color & Audio Enhancement Service and Conversational Video Cuts. The files we deliver are ready for you to import into your preferred video editing software, where you can add your own assets. Alternatively, you can find affordable editors on Fiverr.com.
